Position Overview
The Licensed Mental Health Counselor/Therapist will provide individualized therapy services to adults and adolescents experiencing trauma, anxiety, substance use, and behavioral challenges. This role requires strong clinical judgment, compassion, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy using modalities such as:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness-based approaches
- Deliver services through a hybrid model:
- In-office sessions (40%)
- Online sessions (60%)
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation (HIPAA standards)
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
- Collaborate with internal team members and external providers when appropriate
- Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and families
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of care
Qualifications
- Active Arizona license: LPC, LAC, LCSW, LMSW, or LMFT
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, or substance use disorders preferred
- Training in EMDR, DBT, or other specialized modalities is highly desirable
- Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
