About the Position
Behavior Insights, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Behavior Analyst Certification Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide school-based consultation and clinical supervision services throughout Ventura County and Los Angeles County.
This position is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys working in educational settings, supporting Behavior Technicians (BTs), conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective, evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based consultation for students with behavioral, developmental, and social-emotional needs
- Supervise and mentor Behavior Technicians (BTs) and other direct service staff
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to guide intervention decisions
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
- Provide parent consultation and training when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Option to carry a small caseload of private clients, based on interest and availability
Qualifications
- Current BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong skills in conducting FBAs and developing effective BIPs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to schools in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties
- California driver’s license and proof of insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience attending IEP meetings and collaborating with school districts
- Knowledge of special education law and the IEP process
- Experience supervising BTs or Registered Behavior Technicians
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
