Psychiatric Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health | 13-Week Contract | MI

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week contract assignment at a well-established inpatient psychiatric facility in Michigan. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment serving diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

Position Details:

• Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed
• Overtime: Opportunity to pick up additional hours (not guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay:

• Local: $48/hour
• Travel: $2,142/week (must reside 50 miles from facility)
• Relocation assistance available

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Monitor patient safety and report changes in condition
• Complete accurate and timely documentation
• Support both individual and group treatment settings
• May serve as charge nurse and assist with staff coordination

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience
• Active Michigan RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
