BHN is currently seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to join our youth and family programs in the greater Ware area, supporting children with behavioral health challenges and their families.

What You’ll Do
As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents to help them build life skills, strengthen coping strategies, and achieve success at home, in school, and in the community.
- Provide structured therapeutic mentoring in community, school, and home settings
- Reinforce treatment goals through modeling, coaching, and skill-building
- Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, and school staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Support youth in achieving individualized goals and positive behavior change
- Help families navigate behavioral health systems and connect with resources
- Document services accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in treatment planning, supervision, and ongoing professional development
- High School Diploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health, coping skills, and child development
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and communication skills
- Familiarity with child- and family-serving systems and community resources
- Interest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievement
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Comfortable with documentation systems, word processing, and email
