- Provide peer support to caregivers of young adults (ages 18–30) with emotional, behavioral, developmental, or cognitive challenges
- Build trusting relationships through shared lived experience, compassion, and transparency
- Partner with families to identify strengths, goals, and resources
- Help caregivers navigate behavioral health, education, vocational, and community systems
- Act as a bridge between families and providers to ensure mutual understanding
- Support engagement in treatment plans and strengthen caregiver advocacy skills
- Connect families to peer supports and community-based resources
- Maintain timely documentation (progress notes, encounters) and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards
- Collaborate with team members and participate in supervision and ongoing learning
- A caregiver with lived experience supporting a young adult with special needs (ASD experience preferred)
- Skilled in communication, relationship-building, and collaboration
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Culturally responsive and comfortable working with diverse populations
- Experienced in navigating family-serving systems
- Bachelor’s degree 1 year relevant experience; OR
- Associate’s degree 1 year relevant experience; OR
- High school diploma/GED 2 years relevant experience
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Basic proficiency with computers, email, and doc
