As a Therapist, you play a direct role in supporting our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with our psychiatrist and nursing staff to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our patients.

Behavioral Health at Shalom Clinic is seeking a skilled licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor to join our staff. In this role, you will be responsible for treating patients who have been struggling with mental, behavioral, and emotional health problems. This starts with identifying the exact nature of the patient’s issues. Then, you will create individualized treatment plans that help the individual work towards their desired mental healthcare outcomes.

To do well in this role, you will need to have a strong background in counseling and mental health. You should have a master’s degree and a current license. Additionally, it’s essential that you have the interpersonal skills necessary to engender the patients' trust that allows you to address and resolve their most intimate mental health concerns.

Requirements:

• Must have a Masters Degree in Counseling, Therapy or Social Work
• Previous experience in behavior health, addiction services or other related fields

Responsibilities:

• Meet with patients to determine the exact nature of their mental health concerns
• Utilize evidence based strategies such CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, IPT, PMT, MST, other counseling techniques designed to help the individual overcome their problems
• Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care
• Refer patients to other mental healthcare providers as necessary
• Remain warm and engaged through the duration of every patient’s counseling session
• Assess client needs and provide services that meet individual needs
• Prepare and maintain documentation for services provided to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Maintain community ties by providing services that promote community awareness and support
• Effectively work with other professionals to provide coordinated system of care service efforts.
• Develop relationship with clients by providing counseling/treatment services to them within scope of practice; ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, and treatment of clients/patients/families.
• Consult with professionals throughout the process of receiving new client/patient referrals.
• Provide resources in the community as required by client needs.
• Provide referral by other means (i.e., referral through referral form, referral letter, etc.)when required. Consult in accordance with established scope of practice and state/federal regulations.
• Assess clients/patients/families by completing initial intake psychiatric evaluation and paperwork; following up on initial needs review; documenting sessions; following up on periodically; reviewing services provided; assessing outcomes; planning for the next session; referring questions about treatment plans to professionals; following up on reviews to ensure needed documentation is complete.
• Maintain comprehensive medical, insurance per state law requirements. Liaison between clinical and administrative staff required.

Pay: $48,840.00 - $53,461.00 per year

License/Certification:

• Clinical Social Worker or LPC license? (Required)
