Behavioral Framework – the leading provider of ABA therapy to children diagnosed with autism in the DMV area – is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer.
The Graphic Designer will apply art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as promotional and branding materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials. This role will be responsible for creating compelling custom illustrations, graphics, and videos to engage with patients and their families.

- Collaborates with Director of Marketing and leadership to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message.
- Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
- Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
- Selects fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
- Develop graphics, illustrations, and layouts for digital and print media, including social media content, website assets, brochures, client handouts, and more.
- Define brand guidelines for Behavioral Framework and Pathways.
- Maintain a consistent and cohesive brand identity across all materials, ensuring brand guidelines are followed while finding innovative ways to push creative boundaries.
- Design multimedia content, including videos, animations, and interactive elements.
- Portrays ideas through original character illustrations that complement and enhance clinical materials.
- Prepares drafts of design work and provides samples to Marketing Director for review.
- Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and high design quality.
- Prepares print orders and assembly instructions on notification of final approval.
- Keep up to date with design trends and emerging technologies to integrate into projects when appropriate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Proven design experience showcasing a diverse portfolio of work.
- Understanding of design principles.
- Experience designing both print and digital materials.
- Experience developing original illustrations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with video editing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software.
- Organized with attention to detail and a keen eye for design
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take constructive feedback positively to maintain tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on an assignment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
- At least three to five years of related work experience, required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Must comply with practice policies and procedures.
- Requires daily in-office work. It does not meet the requirements of regular telecommuting.
- Physical activities include sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling.
- Must be able to reach, pull, and push.
- Requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
