We are hiring a Billing Specialist to focus on insurance claim processing, scrubbing, and denials management. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role requiring daily ownership of claims moving cleanly through our new EHR, Lumary. The goal: reduce rejections, resolve denials quickly, and keep cash flow consistent.

Essential Functions
Insurance Billing & Claims Processing
- Scrub and submit a high volume of claims daily through Lumary EHR.
- Track claim status across clearinghouse and payer portals.
- Research and resolve claim rejections and denials; resubmit clean claims promptly.
- Escalate recurring issues or payer trends to the RCM Manager.
- Assist with payment posting reconciliation and ensure claims match remittance data.
- Support preparation of weekly reports (claims submitted, denied, reworked, paid, etc.).
- Perform related billing duties as needed to support the team.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral health or other high-volume healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processing, rejections, and denials.
- Experience with EHR systems
- Familiarity with ABA billing codes (97151, 97153, 97155, 97156, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office.
- Minimum high school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Must comply with practice policies and procedures.
- Requires daily in-office work. Does not meet the requirements of regular telecommuting.
- Physical activities include sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling.
- Must be able to reach, pull, and push.
- Requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
