Behavioral For Young Children, LLC, is seeking ABA Behavior Technician and Early Interventionist to work in San Francisco County and Marine County. BYC supports the development of children 0-3 years at risk for developmental delay through comprehensive family centered, culturally competent, and developmentally appropriate services. Our program recognizes the importance early primary infant-parent relationships as foundational in the achievement of enhanced social, emotional, and learning development. Key components of our program include Early Intervention 1:1 Services, Parenting Education and Coaching, Developmental Playgroups, and ABA Programming for at risk families to achieve outcomes.

We are currently seeking 1:1 Behavior Technicians to start immediately. Behavior Technicians provide intensive early relational and holistic behavioral interventions for children with Autism under the guidance of an ABA Program Manager/Clinical Director. Services are provided in home, community, and school settings.

Responsibilities

  • Work in home, community or school settings to support children with autism by providing 1:1 intensive behavioral therapy
  • Carry out individualized lessons and behavior plans as directed by supervisor
  • Utilize ABA instructional strategies, including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, natural environment training, incidental teaching, pivotal response training, and verbal behavior
  • Facilitate social skills training
  • Record child’s progress, graph data and update data sheets
  • Attend team meetings as needed, as well as internal and external professional workshops
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding child’s progress/behaviors and any intervention modifications
  • Work collaboratively with teammates, parents, and other professionals
  • Maintain organized program binder and complete required paperwork
  • Maintain agreed upon schedule for child, arrive to scheduled sessions on time, and notify supervisor and families of any scheduled changes
  • Make reasonable attempts to provide make-up sessions or find substitutes for missed sessions
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Special Education or related field.
  • Personal/professional experience with children 0-3, and 6 months with persons with disabilities/delays.
  • An engaging and high-energy teaching and interaction style.
  • An interest in working and helping children with special needs, including Autism.
  • One (1) year experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental delays OR RBT certified.
  • Must have completed the 40 hour RBT training.
  • Bi-lingual Cantonese or Mandarin is a huge plus
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Candidates must have a cleared Live Scan (fingerprinting), provide a transcript from an accredited institution, and clear TB test documentation. Travel is an essential part of the job and requires RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, INSURANCE, and a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
