Salary: 50/hrPosition OverviewBEAM is seeking adedicated Special Education Teacher.This position supports students in a Moderate/Severe special education classroom, providing both instructional and behavioral support in collaboration with district staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized academic instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Implement and support behavior intervention plans (BIPs) using evidence-based practicesCollaborate with paraprofessionals, behavior specialists, related service providers, and school administratorsCollect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instructionMaintain accurate documentation in compliance with IDEA, state, and district requirementsParticipate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional developmentCreate a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environmentQualificationsValid Special Education Teaching Credential (Moderate/Severe or equivalent)Experience working with students with significant behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental needsStrong classroom management and collaboration skillsKnowledge of behavior intervention strategies (ABA principles preferred)School-based experience preferredPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with data-driven instruction and progress monitoringAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teamsSchedule & CompensationFull-time, school-based schedule
