The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) at Behavioral Balance ABA provides high-quality, clinic-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and/or adolescents under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BCaBA assists in the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of individualized treatment programs, supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and supports families through caregiver training. This role is essential to delivering safe, ethical, and effective behavior-analytic services consistent with BACB standards and Behavioral Balance ABA clinical practices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Provide direct one-to-one and small-group ABA therapy to clients in the clinic under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs with fidelity.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments, including preference assessments, skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS), and assist

with functional behavior assessments.

  • Collect, graph, and analyze client data using the clinic's data collection system; adjust programming in collaboration with the

supervising BCBA.

  • Train, supervise, and provide ongoing performance feedback to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavior technicians.
  • Conduct caregiver training sessions and provide guidance on generalization of skills outside the clinic setting.
  • Write and submit timely clinical documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and treatment plan updates that meet

payer and accreditation requirements.

  • Collaborate with the clinical team, families, and outside providers (e.g., SLP, OT, schools) to coordinate care.
  • Maintain compliance with BACB ethical guidelines, HIPAA, state regulations, and company policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development.


Supervision Received and Provided

  • Receives ongoing supervision from a BCBA in accordance with current BACB requirements.
  • Provides direct supervision and performance feedback to RBTs and behavior technicians on assigned cases.
  • Supports BCBA in evaluating treatment integrity and clinical outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Current Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification in good standing with the BACB.
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Current Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LaBA) license issued by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, or eligibility to

obtain prior to start date.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience implementing ABA services; experience in a clinic-based setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of common ABA assessments and curricula (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, PEAK, etc.).
  • Proficiency with electronic data collection and practice management platforms (e.g., CentralReach, Rethink, Catalyst).
  • Strong written communication skills for clinical documentation.
  • Ability to receive ongoing supervision from a BCBA per BACB requirements.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Successful completion of background check and any state-required clearances.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a team-based clinical environment.


Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and move quickly to ensure client safety throughout the session.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity with clients (e.g., play, transitions).
  • Ability to safely implement crisis prevention and intervention procedures (e.g., Safety-Care, CPI, PCM) following company training.


Work Environment

This position is performed primarily in a clinic-based setting. Work may involve exposure to challenging behaviors, including aggression and self-injury, which are managed through approved behavior intervention plans and safety procedures. Standard clinic hours apply; some flexibility may be required to meet client and family needs.
