A Day in the Life of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) at Behavior Matters:
Make a daily difference. Join Behavior Matters and help autistic children build communication, independence, and confidence. You’ll work side by side with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®), carrying out individualized behavior plans, recording progress, and celebrating real world wins in our clinic.
What you’ll do
- Deliver 1:1 applied behavior analysis (ABA) sessions using treatment plans designed by a BCBA.
- Teach play, social, and daily living skills in a fun, structured way.
- Collect data so the team can see growth and adjust supports.
- Collaborate with and receive support from the clinical team to keep care consistent and compassionate.
This role fits people who love purposeful play, appreciate routine, and want to see the long-term impact of their work.
Schedule & Pay
- When: Sessions are typically 2–3 hours each, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:15pm.
- Where: Clinic-based; No commuting from house to house, clients come to you.
- Pay: $17.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.

What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; 18 years of age.
- Ability to clear a background check and provide favorable references.
- Physical readiness to stand, sit, run, assist with client safety, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform CPR if needed.
- Reliability; the ability to maintain a consistent schedule and work location for the first 90 days.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification within 30 days).

An offer of employment will be contingent upon receiving proof of the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Hepatitis B vaccinations along with a fit for duty exam and TB screening completed by a physician. These are necessary to ensure compliance with California insurance requirements.
