Are you an experienced billing professional looking for stability and a supportive team environment? Behavior Matters (BxM) is expanding our essential administrative services in Alaska and seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join our team in Eagle River.
Location: Hybrid – Eagle River, AK (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Compensation: $ $22.00 per hour
About the Role: As a Billing Specialist, you will be crucial to our financial health, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of claims to various payors. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of ABA or behavioral health billing practices, and the ability to thrive in a structured, yet flexible, hybrid setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the submission of claims and ensuring proper coding.
- Following up on denied claims and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Maintaining patient accounts and providing documentation support.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional medical billing experience (ABA or behavioral health experience highly preferred).
- Must reside near and be able to reliably commute to our Eagle River office 3 days per week.
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) and electronic health records (EHR).
