What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Behavior Builders?
The Behavior Technician (BT) will implement treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
The Behavior Technician will provide services in the client's home, community, and/or center-based settings, and follow treatment protocols outlined by the BCBA.
The Behavior Technician will be responsible for adhering to ethical and professional standards of practice set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the BCBA, including behavior management strategies, skill acquisition programs, and social skills training
- Accurately collect and record data on client progress towards achieving treatment goals
- Provide written and oral feedback to the BCBA regarding client progress
- Attend scheduled meetings to review progress, discuss concerns, and treatment goals
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Maintain professional and ethical standards according to the BACB code of ethics
- Complete required documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and incident reports.
- Attend professional development training opportunities as required
- Maintain open communication with client families, caregivers, and other treatment team members
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field is preferred
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD and/or other developmental disabilities is required.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies and skill acquisition programs as outlined by the BCBA.
- Ability to collect and record accurate data on client progress
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and other treatment team members
- Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards at all times
- Must pass a criminal background check
Working Conditions:
- Registered Behavior Technicians work in client homes, community settings, and/or center-based settings
- Behavior Technicians may work evenings and weekends to accommodate client and family schedules
- Behavior Technicians may be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Current Posting has 2 days available for employment per week: Tuesday and Thursday 3-6 PM. Once more cases become available, they will be offered.
