Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in promoting positive behavior changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavioral therapy techniques.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to foster independence and improve daily functioning.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals to ensure accurate tracking of treatment efficacy.
- Provide direct support and teaching to clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively and promote positive interactions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach and interact with clients, families, and team members.
