Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through engaging activities
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies
- Foster a safe, respectful environment that encourages positive interactions and supports client well-being
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during sessions for progress tracking
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent teaching skills with a patient-centered approach to support learning and growth
- Compassionate attitude towards clients’ needs while maintaining professionalism in all interactions
