What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentialing Specialist position at Behavior Analysis Inc?
Behavior Analysis, Inc. is one of the leading behavioral providers within the autism community. We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist to become a part of our growing family. We are looking for an individual with superb computer skills, who is accurate, HIGHLY detail-oriented, quick, and responsible. The right candidate should be a quick learner and have an excellent command of the English language - spoken and written. Experience is preferred, but not required. Will train the right candidate. Credentialing Specialists have many important duties, as they’re responsible for ensuring that our organization is fully compliant with all state and federal regulations at all times. They must also ensure that all of our providers are legally certified and/or credentialed, and up to date with the latest medical policies and procedures. This is a small intimate office setting and the candidate must work well with others.
The applicant MUST be able to perform the following functions:
- Submit, track, monitor credentialing applications to various commercial and government payers; in addition to following up and updating the company database
- Manage re-credentialing for all providers
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain current credentialing provider profiles in CAQH, including re-attestations
- Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
- Monitor and maintain provider certifications and credential expiration dates
Education and Work Experience Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant credentialing experience preferred, but not mandatory
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel Outlook. Teams), SharePoint and OneDrive
- Strong data entry skills

All serious candidates will be subject to a background check. This is NOT a remote position, only on-site.
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
