POSITION SUMMARY
The Pre-Litigation Case Manager is responsible for overseeing the initial stages of personal injury cases, ensuring that clients receive outstanding service and that their cases are managed effectively and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various parties, maintaining thorough records, and ensuring timely progression of cases. Collaborating closely with our dedicated client ambassadors, you will contribute to streamlining processes and providing top-notch support to our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to update them on the status of their case, address their questions or concerns, and gather necessary information.
Case Coordination: Collaborate with legal staff to ensure effective case progression.
Document Management: Collect, organize, and maintain all relevant case documents, including medical records, accident reports, witness statements, and other pertinent information.
Insurance Coordination: Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, status updates, and negotiations.
Case Evaluation: Assist attorneys in evaluating the merits of a case, identifying its strengths and weaknesses.
Records Maintenance: Ensure that all case management systems and databases are updated regularly with the latest information.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the litigation team in the event a case proceeds to court, ensuring a seamless transition.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry best practices, legal decisions, and regulations relevant to pre-litigation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Prior experience in a legal setting, preferably in personal injury or a related practice area.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Energetic, hands-on, self-starter who can succeed with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with medical professionals and internal team members.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent time management is a must.
