What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at BEGNEAUD MANUFACTURING?
BEGNEAUD Manufacturing is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support our sheet metal fabrication facility. This role is ideal for a skilled, motivated individual who takes pride in troubleshooting problems, preventing downtime, and keeping equipment operating safely and reliably. Candidate will be trained under current maintenance manager to get up to speed with Begneaud's equipment and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and support a wide range of equipment including lasers, press brakes, punches, welders, saws, compressors, and filtration systems
- Inspect machines, track maintenance consumables, and maintain organized service records
- Communicate with machine operators to diagnose issues and coordinate repairs
- Follow safety procedures, including proper lockout/tagout practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
Qualifications:
- Industrial maintenance experience required (CNC or fabrication equipment experience preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and safety-focused
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with production teams
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with PLCs, drives, or servo systems
- Familiarity with industrial gas systems, piping, or basic plumbing
- Experience using computerized maintenance or CMMS systems
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
