What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator / Project Manager position at BEGNEAUD MANUFACTURING?
BEGNEAUD Manufacturing is a sheet metal job shop in need of a full time Estimator / Project Manager. The Estimator / Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers from initial inquiry through project completion. This role is responsible for customer communication, preparing accurate quotes, and coordinating internally to ensure projects are executed on time and to expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries and providing timely project updates
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate and competitive quotes
- Calculate material, labor, and production costs in collaboration with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
- Present formal quotes and assist with pricing adjustments as needed
- Confirm job details and approvals prior to production start
- Communicate customer requirements and expectations to internal teams
- Monitor project progress and proactively address issues, changes, or delays
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer communications
- Track quoting performance and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to analyze technical information and pricing details
- High attention to detail and organization
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering and production teams
- Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity of ERP systems preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
