Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and providing change as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers with their selections.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Utilize POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels for coffee beans, pastries, and other café items.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and support.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of one year of barista experience.
- Previous experience in customer service and café environments is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus, but can be learned on the job.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
