What are the responsibilities and job description for the grill and sauté cook position at Beer Hunter?

This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items using grill and sauté methods (e.g., meats, seafood, vegetables, sauces)
Ensure food is cooked to proper temperature, portion size, and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order completion
Monitor food stock and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager.
Assist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Properly store food and label items according to regulations
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a line cook, grill cook, or sauté cook preferred
Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to work night and weekends
Skills:
Proficiency in grilling and sautéing techniques
Understanding of meat temperatures and doneness levels
Knife skills and food preparation techniques
Teamwork and communication
Multitasking and organization
Work Environment:
Fast-paced kitchen setting
Exposure to high heat, open flames, and sharp equipment
Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
