Position Summary:
This position provides an opportunity for exceptional accounting talent to support meaningful philanthropic impact. The ideal candidate will be a strategic accounting contributor. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support the full spectrum of accounting functions across multiple affiliated nonprofit organizations
- Perform month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, journaling, and reconciliations
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements
- Assist with development and training of the staff accountant
- Work cooperatively with other accounting and operations personnel within the Beemok enterprise
- Receive direct, hands-on support from the Accounting Manager, developing your technical and leadership skills to promote long-term career growth
- Have opportunities for growth and advancement as the department and organization expand
- Experience direct visibility to the C-suite and provide real strategic influence
Education, Experience, and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license or CPA candidate
- 3 years of public accounting experience, or 5 years of industry accounting experience, with a trajectory of increasing ownership and responsibility
- An investigative mindset applied to the full range of accounting functions, with the ability to collaborate and clearly articulate accounting insights and solutions
- Ability to translate detailed financial results into clear takeaways that support executive decision-making
- Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting, and familiarity with cloud/ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc.)
- High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Optional, but attractive: Nonprofit industry, family office, or multi-entity accounting experience
