Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations
- Monitor cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and back-of-house spaces using established quality standards
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
- Lead by example through active participation in cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, and restroom sanitation
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly to uphold service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Implement best practices for commercial cleaning, janitorial procedures, and hospitality standards to optimize operational efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of staff schedules, training sessions, inspections, and incident reports
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong background in cleaning techniques including commercial cleaning, laundry services, and general custodial work
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
- Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or related software is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Prior janitorial experience combined with hospitality or hotel industry knowledge is highly desirable
