Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure continuous site security.
- Control access to the facility using advanced access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards, including performing physical security checks and manual handling tasks.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing established procedures such as fire drills, medical incidents, or security breaches; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and perform first aid or CPR as needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities; communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
- Perform background checks on new employees or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques during disputes or disturbances while maintaining professionalism and safety for all parties involved.
Experience
- Prior experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and familiarity with access control technologies.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required for equipment or supplies management.
- Strong skills in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity; experience in conflict management and conflict de-escalation strategies.
- Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards relevant to physical security operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff, visitors, or law enforcement personnel.
