The Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead who combines strong hands-on coding skills with architectural thinking and execution leadership.

This is a hands-on role where you will design and build backend services and user-facing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks. You will work on both new product development and modernization of existing systems, collaborating closely with stakeholders to shape technical direction.

As a Tech Lead, you will represent engineering excellence through code, design decisions, and technical leadership. You will be expected to stay current with modern development practices and use them to deliver high-quality, maintainable systems.

The role involves working as an individual contributor while also identifying, structuring, and carving out work for an extended engineering team. You will be responsible for guiding execution and ensuring consistent quality across the codebase.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop backend services and web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks

• Contribute hands-on to coding, code reviews, and architectural decisions

• Analyze existing systems to understand business logic and identify opportunities for

improvement or modernization

• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions

• Act as a technical leader, guiding best practices and setting engineering standards

• Break down complex requirements and structure work for distributed or cross-functional teams

• Stay current with evolving technologies and apply them where they add clear value

• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and development workflows

• Ensure implementations are secure, scalable, observable, and production-ready in cloud environments

What We’re Looking For

• 6 years of professional software engineering experience

• Strong hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Go (Golang), JavaScript, or TypeScript

• Experience building systems using modern frameworks:

o Backend: FastAPI, Django, Node.js, Express,NestJS, or Go-based frameworks

o Frontend: React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling

• Solid understanding of API design, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing

• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization, and microservices

• Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

• Ability to work across both existing systems and greenfield development

• Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers in a technical capacity

• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with varied stakeholders

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern developer workflows
