Procurement Team Member (2 - 4 days/wk | M - F | 6am-2pm)

This is a Part Time Position, scheduled two to three days per week. You must be available to work Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Procurement Team Member at Beehive Meals plays a pivotal role in the preparation and packaging of high-quality freezer meals. This position requires individual responsibility for putting away deliveries and supplying ingredients daily to production; a critical role to ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality ingredients needed in meal production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Placement and Inventory Operations:

• Maintain and update raw material inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and deliveries.
• Update procurement-related data and maintain records of purchases.
  
  

Quality Control

• Put away food orders and rotate ingredients to product quality (first-in/first-out)
• Report any deviations or issues promptly to the production supervisor.
  
  

Sanitization And Cleanliness

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, regular handwashing and proper glove usage.
  
  

Teamwork

• Collaborate effectively with production team members to forecast production needs.
• Communicate openly to maintain a harmonious and efficient work environment.
  
  

Safety

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.

Required

Work is generally performed in a production/warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Use hands to handle food products and processing equipment.
• Perform repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement
• Wear personal protective equipment while working (provided) – this might include, and is not limited to hairnet, facemask, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
• Reach with arms or hands, including overhead.
• Lift and carry varying objects of 15 - 40 lbs., and up to 75lbs. throughout the day.
