We are looking for an Assistant House Manager that 1) has a big heart and will love our elderly residents, 2) is willing to consistently work CNA/MEDTECH shifts, 3) has experience organizing and managing medications, 4) has a flexible schedule and the ability to consistently be on call to support employees and residents 5) is consistently kind in interactions with residents, families of residents, and employees, 6) consistently remains calm and effective in stressful situations, 7) is a great example for our other employees on how to provide amazing care to our residents.
You will be part of a team providing quality, innovative care for our senior residents including applying unique practices that help bring joy to our residents.
WORK TIMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Assistant House Manager will consistently work CNA/MEDTECH shifts. In addition you will be on call each day to support employees in their work and handle a variety of responsibilities.
Our Assistant House Manger works under the supervision of our House Manager.
Potential responsibilities include:
- Working regular CNA/MEDTECH SHIFTS.
- Regularly cycling medications.
- Entering medication and medication changes in the MAR.
- Maintaining an organized medication cart.
- Completing medication error reports.
- Assisting with training of new MedTechs.
- Communicating with healthcare providers regarding medications.
- Being on call to answer questions regarding medications and resident care.
- Managing employee schedules.
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assisting residents with medication management and mobility assistance.
- Documenting resident observations.
- Providing support during recreational and cognitive activities.
- Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the House Manager and/or Administrator.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Current Utah CNA license
- 1-2 years experience caring for elderly residents in an assisted living or nursing home setting
- 1-2 years experience administering medications
- 1-2 years management experience preferred.
- If not already in place, willing to obtain First-aid, CPR, and Utah Food Handlers Permit
- Willingness to obtain a background check
- Ability to lift 50lbs
