Job Summary
The RN/RN Manager will provide direction and leadership to our team of licensed nurses, caregivers, and other operational staff. You will work with the Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with BeeHive Homes quality standards and State and Federal regulations. You will assume responsibility and accountability for the delivery of quality nursing services and nursing operations of the community to include: hiring, training and coordination of resident care through assessments, interaction and collaboration with residents, families, physicians and third-party vendors. In addition, our small home-like environment will offer you additional leadership opportunities in all aspects of senior living management.
Job Descriptions
The RN or RN Manager reports to the Director of Nursing. The RN / RN Manager is responsible for carrying out the primary duties as outlined below. These essential functions include, but are not limited to:
● Evaluate and tailor care service plans for existing and new residents. Schedule staff to ensure safety and proper care of residents. Supervises / Manages nursing department.
● Assist in the development of job descriptions and performance appraisal systems. Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, and terminate resident personnel.
● Train and supervise resident personnel ensuring each employee is trained and knowledgeable with respect to risk management; death, dying and the aging process; fire safety; disaster preparedness; residents' rights; grievance procedures; and medication administration.
● Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. Assist during a State survey or other in-house inspection of records. Relay new information and regulatory changes from State officials to the BeeHive staff.
● Participate in on-call requirements as needed. May be responsible to cover shifts as staff nurse, when needed.
● Work with other management team members to create the facility's policies and procedures and recommend changes as necessary.
● Act as liaison to community organizations and businesses including nursing homes, hospitals, senior centers, and retirement homes.
● Work with Activity Director to coordinate recreational/social activities.
Job Requirement
● Current RN license in good standing with the state of Minnesota.
● Knowledge and experience with State Department of Health regulations related to senior housing and comprehensive home care provider.
● Excellent organizational and communication skills.
● Ability to calmly handle stressful situations.
● Previous experience in assisted living/memory care leadership role.
Preferred Qualification
● Bachelor's degree or higher education.
● Two years of management experience in an Assisted Living Center.
● Well-rounded with developed outside interests.
