Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional care while respecting the dignity and independence of those you serve.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and cooking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients through regular cleaning and organization of living spaces.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Administer medications according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia care needs.
- Document client progress and changes in condition accurately in care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is important.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others live fulfilling lives.
- Understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols is beneficial.
