This position can also serve as an internship or senior project requirement, providing valuable real-world marketing and event management experience for students or recent graduates.
Position Overview
The Seasonal Marketing & Events Coordinator will be the lead coordinator for events and parades, working directly with the Marketing Manager as needed. This position is ideal for a highly organized and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people, coordinating logistics, and ensuring Beehive FCU's brand is well-represented at external events. The role will work closely with the Marketing Specialist and Marketing Manager, providing key support in both pre-event planning and on-site execution.
This is a temporary, part-time position, working 20-25 hours per week, including evenings and Saturdays from April 28-August 29. The expected pay is $16.74 per hour, DOE.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
- Take lead in planning and executing community events and parades, ensuring all logistics are in place.
- Coordinate event materials, signage, promotional items, and booth setup.
- Ensure brand consistency and professionalism in all event-related activities.
On-Site Event Execution & Engagement
- Set up and manage Beehive's booth/table, interacting with attendees and providing information about Beehive's products and services.
- Engage with event attendees in a friendly and professional manner, representing Beehive's mission and values.
- Capture photos and highlights from events for marketing and social media use.
Marketing & Sponsorship Support
- Work with the Marketing Specialist to promote events through social media, email, and digital platforms.
- Assist in creating event recaps, including engagement metrics and key takeaways.
- Support sponsorship initiatives by maintaining relationships with local business partners.
Event & Sponsorship Support
- Support sponsorship initiatives by ensuring Beehive's brand is properly represented in local partnerships.
- Attend select community events as a brand representative, ensuring strong public engagement.
Administrative & Team Collaboration
- Maintain an organized calendar of upcoming events and sponsorship activities.
- Assist in tracking event expenses and compiling post-event reports.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to align events with broader business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, public-facing environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and transport materials (event setup, promotional items, etc.).
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for event participation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in event coordination, marketing, customer service, school leadership, or community outreach.
- Familiarity with social media management for event promotion.
- Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, government regulations, general financial reports and compliance documents.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outdoors in cold, wet, or warm conditions.
