Job Title: Housekeeper/Laundry Aide
Location: Beeghly Oaks Center, Boardman, Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Summary
Beeghly Oaks is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors while adhering to all state and federal regulations, including infection control standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas daily
- Follow established infection control and universal precaution guidelines
- Dispose of waste, including regulated medical waste, in accordance with facility policies
- Replenish supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer
- Ensure floors are properly cleaned, swept, mopped, and/or vacuumed
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and emergency cleaning needs
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any needed repairs
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of chemicals (OSHA compliance)
- Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
