Job Summary
Beechwood Handymen is hiring a Skilled Handyman Technician to perform residential handyman, carpentry, repair, maintenance, and small construction-related work.
We are a veteran-owned residential handyman and carpentry company based in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, serving Cheshire County and the surrounding area. This position is a good fit for someone with real hands-on residential construction, carpentry, or handyman experience who takes pride in quality work, communicates professionally, works safely, and can represent the company well on customer properties.
Duties
- Perform residential handyman, carpentry, repair, maintenance, and small construction-related tasks
- Complete work such as trim, doors, windows, decks, drywall repair, flooring, painting, fixture installation, maintenance, and general home repairs
- Read work orders, scopes, measurements, and basic plans
- Diagnose jobsite conditions and communicate issues promptly
- Work professionally in occupied customer homes
- Protect customer property and maintain clean, organized jobsites
- Track time accurately by job or project
- Take jobsite photos and document work as directed
- Organize tools, materials, receipts, and company property
- Assist with material pickups and jobsite preparation when needed
- Mentor apprentices or helpers when assigned
- Follow company safety procedures and safe work practices
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to jobsites
- Residential construction, carpentry, handyman, or home repair experience
- Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs when needed
- Basic personal hand tools appropriate for the role
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Comfortable working in occupied customer homes
- Ability to work independently and solve practical jobsite problems
- Ability to work safely and follow company procedures
- Willing and able to complete a background check, motor vehicle record review, and reference review
- Able to meet company and insurance requirements for assigned driving duties
- Current DOT medical card preferred, or willingness to obtain one if required for assigned company vehicle, trailer, equipment, or material pickup duties

- Carpentry and trim work
- Door and window installation or repair
- Deck repair or construction
- Drywall repair
- Flooring installation or repair
- Painting and finish work
- General residential repair and troubleshooting
- Trailer towing, material handling, or equipment pickup experience
Compensation
$28–$35 per hour depending on experience, skill level, reliability, independence, workmanship, and performance.
