Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier mental health agencies, is hiring a wrap around/respite specialist for our Foster Care program and youth referred for Behavioral Health Respite. This position will provide one on one intervention with higher level foster care and Ohio Rise clients. Act in the role as a mentor, providing support and respite to the foster children and parents. Knowledge of community resources is a plus. Individuals in this role must have flexible hours, evenings and weekends and be available to participate in on-call rotation with other team members.

Job Responsibilities:
- Works as part of the treatment team supporting the youth and family. Spend time with youth in the community to develop their social living skills
- Assist in supporting foster/bio parents.
- Provide collateral support for youth and families including but not limited to transport, supporting youth in school or activity participation etc.
- Assist in crisis management as directed
- Must be team oriented and work effectively with a variety of supportive tasks.
- Must be strength based.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Respite services may include general supervision of the child, meal preparation and hands-on assistance with personal care. Different activities include, supporting the child in the home or in the community
- Document using the electronic health record according to agency and Medicaid guidelines.
- Valid State of Ohio driver license with no more than 5 points.
- Must have flexible hours and be available to participate in on call rotation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 3 years’ experience with SED (Severely Emotionally Disturbed) youth and families
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Computer literate using EMR’s
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to provide own reliable transportation
