Responsibilities
- Safely operate various vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support for individuals with mobility challenges or special needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal safety and operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare staff, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times.
- Manage documentation such as trip logs, mileage records, and incident reports accurately and efficiently.
- Perform light maintenance tasks when necessary, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure to keep vehicles in top condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles such as limousine or school bus operation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle type.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment.
- Knowledge of paratransit services and familiarity with safety regulations governing commercial driving.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- A customer-focused attitude combined with reliability, punctuality, and a positive approach to service delivery.
