Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Warehouse Worker / On Truck Laborer to join our dynamic E-waste recycling team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, materials handling, and equipment operation. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth and efficient processes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks.
- Assist with loading and unloading pickups, ensuring proper handling of materials using manual handling techniques and heavy equipment.
- Travel into Manhattan in one of our trucks to assist in loading various items and unloading them in our warehouse.
- Conduct inventory control activities including stock counting, and updating inventory records to maintain accuracy.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and adhering to safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, improve safety compliance, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment. Loading and unloading trucks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and handle materials manually when necessary.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order processing tasks.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills for stock control and order fulfillment.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, labor intensive environment while maintaining safety protocol adherence.
