ABOUT THE ROLE
Work Schedule & Location: This is a full-time, in-office position based in Austin, TX. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no night or weekend shifts.
Your Typical Day: As a Veterinary Practice Manager, you step into a fast-paced environment where your leadership keeps everything running smoothly. You manage staff schedules, oversee recruitment and training, and foster a positive workplace culture. You work closely with our vets and technicians to optimize patient care, implement efficient processes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Your responsibilities include overseeing inventory, coordinating with vendors, and managing budgets to keep operations cost-effective. Marketing strategies, client relations, and business development also fall under your leadership. You're the problem-solver, team builder, and driving force behind a thriving veterinary practice.
The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
- Proven experience as a practice manager, office manager, or in a similar role in a veterinary or healthcare setting
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and team development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with staff, clients, and vendors
- A passion for animal care and exceptional client service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a veterinary setting or knowledge of medical terminology
- CVPM certification or a degree in business administration/management
