What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at Bee Bayou Farms?
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as sweeping/scooping grain bins; Clean, pressure wash, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate poly pipe and center pivot irrigation equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as combine, sprayer, grain cart, mower, UTV, ATV to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as rice, corn, cotton, soybeans, milo; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh and sample truckloads and record weights and identifying information; Speak and understand english.
