What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Shuttle Driver/Warehouse Associate position at Bedrug?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Local Shuttle Driver is a local driving position, responsible for completing deliveries locally and shuttling equipment/supplies between facilities as needed.
This position will also support the Shipping Supervisor and assist with Material Handling duties in addition to processing returns.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7AM -3:30PM
CORE FUNCTIONS
· Complete required trips as assigned by Transportation Manager and according to established trip routes.
· Perform pre-trip inspection of truck and trailer.
· Perform pre-trip inspection of load for all units and parts.
· Check invoices with units on loads for parts.
· Check to make sure loads are secure before departure and after first 100 miles of travel and every 500 miles thereafter.
· Complete proper paperwork for returns, and tags all returned units.
· Complete trip sheet and daily logs and forwards to Traffic Coordinator and Safety Coordinator.
· Complete Vehicle Inspection Report daily.
· Maintain requirements as per the Department of Transportation.
· Use proper procedures to load and unload units to prevent damage and bodily injuries.
· Convey a professional and courteous demeanor to dealers to ensure positive customer relations.
· Obey all speed limits and traffic laws and uses caution while driving.
· Work with Customer Service Reps regarding problems with orders or specifications of units.
· Work with and receives training from the Transportation Safety Coordinator.
· Unclamp and unload parts with dealers assistance if dealer does not have a forklift. If dealer has a forklift, driver will stay with trailer and help guide units out.
· Understand and support various functions and procedures of company’s Quality Management Program.
· Has regular and punctual attendance as per driving schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· High school diploma required.
· 1 years of experience required.

· None.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
· Knowledge of elogs/tablet usage.
· Write, speak, and comprehend English.
· Ability to understand basic math.
· Ability to accurately follow instructions.
Travel
· Frequent local travel is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity
· The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Working Conditions
· The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions within manufacturing facilities and is subject to hazardous road conditions/weather when driving.
