Position Overview
Bedrock3300 is seeking a driven, field-focused General Superintendent/ Concrete Operations Director to lead and oversee all concrete field operations. This role is responsible for project execution, manpower planning, schedule performance, safety, and quality across multiple active jobs.
The General Superintendent/Concrete Operations Director serves as the senior field leader for the concrete division — ensuring projects are properly planned, executed efficiently, and delivered safely, on time, and profitably. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Estimating, and Executive Leadership to drive operational excellence and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans prior to mobilization.
- Collaborate with operational teams during project turnover and planning.
- Review project documents to identify obstacles, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare field teams to execute using defined planning processes and production goals.
- Ensure accurate project documentation including T&Q reports.
- Track and validate time sheets, delivery tickets, and sign-in/sign-out sheets.
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and production to ensure execution goals are met.
- Adjust field plans as necessary to maintain schedule and performance targets.
- Communicate project status clearly and timely to leadership and project stakeholders.
Field Leadership & Operations
- Oversee all concrete field operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Lead and mentor superintendents, foremen, and field crews.
- Drive accountability for safety, production, and quality standards.
- Allocate manpower and equipment effectively across multiple projects.
- Serve as escalation point for field-related challenges.
- Routinely visit job sites to maintain alignment and performance standards.
Safety & Quality
- Champion a strong safety culture with zero tolerance for unsafe behavior.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Maintain adherence to specifications and industry standards (ACI, ASTM, etc.).
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive experience in project execution with a large-scale Self-Perform GC or Concrete Contractor.
- Self-perform concrete experience required.
- Experience across multiple project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial.
- Strong leadership ability with proven success driving results and overall project performance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
