What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Surveillance Technician position at Bedrock Security Advisory Group?
Bedrock Security Advisory Group, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is building a vetted network of Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) for anticipated classified construction and accreditation work in the Redstone Arsenal and broader Huntsville, Alabama market.
This is pipeline recruitment to identify qualified professionals in advance. It is award-contingent and does not constitute an immediate offer of employment. We are connecting with experienced CSTs now so cleared-facility teams are staffed correctly, not assembled under schedule pressure.
CSTs provide continuous security surveillance of uncleared construction activity in controlled and classified spaces, protecting facility integrity from the first controlled activity through accreditation.
What you would do:
- Provide continuous surveillance of uncleared workers during construction of SCIF, SAPF, and other controlled spaces.
- Enforce ICD 705 / ICS 705 construction security requirements and the approved Construction Security Plan.
- Document daily activity, hold points, and inspections, and maintain evidence chains that support accreditation.
- Coordinate with the Site Security Manager (SSM) and Special Security Officer (SSO) on access control, material inspection, and controlled deliveries.
- Identify and report security anomalies before they become accreditation or rework problems.
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a CST on ICD 705 / ICS 705 secure construction, or equivalent SCIF/SAPF construction-security background.
- Working knowledge of construction surveillance procedures, documentation standards, and hold-point discipline.
- Ability to read construction drawings and track work against approved design and security requirements.
- Active Top Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility for likely assignment. Candidates should be prepared to verify clearance posture through the appropriate employer and security channels.
- Willingness to travel and support phased site presence as engagements require.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with RF shielding, HEMP, TEMPEST, secure pathways, or high-consequence C4IT integration.
- Prior military, DoD, or intelligence-community security background.
- Experience supporting DIA accreditation timelines.
