What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator - Contract position at Bedrock Robotics?
Bedrock Robotics is a San Francisco-based startup (founded in 2024) focused on bringing autonomous capabilities to heavy construction equipment is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator. This is a Contract position with the opportunity to go permanent.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Operate Dozers, Excavators, Compactors, Rollers, Track loaders, and Water trucks
-Conduct safety/tailgate meetings and enforce all safety regulations on jobsite
-Help wherever it is needed
-Ability to read plans and staking
-Thoroughly & correctly fill out a timecard/daily report to be handed in each day
Qualified Candidate must have:
-8 years of Heavy Equipment Operating experience
-Able to safely demonstrate the proper skill and knowledge of operating heavy equipment
-Basic Knowledge of stripping, demolition and excavation for all site work activities
-A thorough understanding of the construction trade
-Be able to communicate effectively and problem solve with management, vendors and general contractors
-Be able to work in a team environment or autonomously
Requirements:
-Valid Driver's License with a clean DMV record (Provide current DMV printout at interview)
-Must have reliable transportation
-Legal status to work in CA.
-Ability to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test
-Must speak fluent English (Bilingual a plus)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour with a per diem per day when traveling.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, hours could be more - must be able to travel
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday, some weekends when needed.
