What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial & Trade Sales Representative position at Bedrock Granite Incorporated?
Bedrock Granite is a premier, family-owned stone fabrication and installation company. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional service to our clients. As we continue to expand our footprint in the New Jersey market, we are seeking a driven Sales Representative to focus exclusively on growing our Trade and Commercial divisions.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive, relationship-oriented sales professional to identify and secure partnerships within the construction and design industries. Your primary focus will be on building long-term relationships with general contractors, interior designers, architects, and kitchen/bath showrooms.
You will serve as the bridge between Bedrock Granite’s production capabilities and the specific needs of large-scale commercial projects and trade professionals.
Key Responsibilities
· Business Development: Actively prospect and recruit new trade partners (Designers, GCs, Architects) and commercial accounts.
· Relationship Management: Maintain and grow existing accounts through consistent follow-up, site visits, and industry networking.
· Project Consultation: Work closely with trade clients to select materials, understand project specifications, and provide accurate estimates.
· Market Positioning: Promote Bedrock’s value proposition—highlighting our fabrication quality, "turnkey" installation services, and reliable lead times.
· Collaboration: Coordinate with our internal templaters, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure seamless project hand-offs and client satisfaction.
· Bidding & Estimating: Review blueprints and project plans to provide competitive and profitable commercial bids.
Qualifications
· Experience: 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably within the stone, flooring, or construction industry.
· Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the commercial construction bidding process and the "Trade" sales cycle.
· Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to speak the language of both a job-site foreman and a high-end interior designer.
· Organization: Strong CRM and pipeline management skills to track long-lead commercial projects.
· Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of the New Jersey/Tri-State construction market is a significant plus.
