As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day clinical leadership and outcomes within our Skilled Long-Term Care facility.
Assistant Director of Nursing Key Duties:
- Assist DON in working with management staff including Administrator in planning all aspects of the nursing operations.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor the delivery of nursing care, effective coordination with other support services, cleanliness and appearance of the residents, and morale of staff and to ensure residents needs are being met in a proactive manner.
- Direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with the federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Focus on Quality Improvement and identify areas of educational needs.
- Monitor new employee’s orientation process to ensure successful progress and acclimation to the facility.
- Must possess valid unencumbered, RN State License for the state of PA. Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience within a skilled long-term care facility, hospital, or other related healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulations and the survey process.
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
