Salary Range: $80K to $100K per year depending on experience. This role also comes with company profit sharing, profit interest grant, and competitive benefits.
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, inquisitive and detail-oriented Junior Controller, to oversee the day-to-day financial activities and human resource functions within the organization. You will be an individual contributor, reporting directly to the CFO, and assist with managing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and optimizing the company's financial reporting and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash application
- Assist with purchasing and accounts payables
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and account analyses.
- Assist in preparation of the monthly reporting package
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to assist management in decision-making
- Monthly sales tax reconciliation
- Manage relationships with key B2B customers including PO processing, pricing updates, and maintaining agreements.
- Manage payroll administration and processing
- Assist with recruitment and the onboarding of new employees
- Oversee employee benefit programs and ensure market competitiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Experience with accounting for an ecommerce company
- In-depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
