Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Performance Engineer to elevate BEDGEAR’s operational performance across manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain. This role blends process engineering with systems optimization, focusing on streamlining workflows, driving adoption of new technologies, and creating scalable standards that fuel growth. As a key driver of operational excellence, you will collaborate across departments to deliver measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, quality, and throughput.
This position is based on-site at our Rock Hill, SC manufacturing location, with periodic travel required to our Salt Lake City, UT facility. Essential Functions (Included but not limited to):
Process & Performance Optimization
- Analyze and map workflows across manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain functions.
- Own the lifecycle of SOPs—developing, reviewing, and standardizing them to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
- Identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency, reduce costs, and increase value to customers.
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects by providing project structure, lean tools, and facilitation.
- Build project charters, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and area managers.
- Coordinate projects to ensure area leaders own execution while maintaining accountability to shared goals.
- Facilitate regular project reviews, track progress against milestones, and escalate risks or barriers.
- Ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes (e.g., safety, quality, efficiency) and sustainment through standardized practices.
Systems Enablement & Rollouts
- Partner with ERP Systems Team to support rollout and adoption of WMS, TMS, ERP, and other supply chain upgrades.
- Validate system changes through testing, process alignment, and user adoption strategies.
- Provide go-live and post-implementation support to ensure sustainable integration of new tools.
Training & Change Adoption
- Enable employees and managers to adopt new SOPs and system changes through clear communication, coaching, and accountability frameworks.
- Champion process adoption by fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Data Analysis & Financial Modeling
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track operational performance (SuiteAnalytics, Power BI, etc.).
- Use data-driven insights to identify root causes and inform leadership decisions.
- Build ROI models for capital projects, including payback periods and sensitivity analysis.
- Quantify savings in labor, materials, and overhead, and model revenue opportunities from productivity or quality improvements.
- Support the evaluation of labor productivity and labor standards in manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Partner with cost accounting to develop, validate, and maintain accurate labor routings that reflect process improvements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate cross-departmental workshops to gather insights and align on process enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution to ensure seamless execution of improvements.

Skills:
- Expertise in process mapping and documentation tools (Visio, Lucid chart, Miro).
- Experience developing and implementing SOPs in manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to driving results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
- English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or process improvement roles.
