The information Technology Administrator will oversee the development, implementation and use of technology throughout the Court. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information and telecommunications systems. The IT Administrator is a key technical resource, providing advice, training and technical support for various projects. This position works closely with the Clerk of Court / Court Administrator and Judges in evaluating current systems and aligning business objectives with the strategy for technology. The successful candidate will be expected to learn all phases of the Court activities as a requirement to assist in the evaluation, purchase and migration to new case management software within the next 5-7 years.
The ideal candidate should have:
· strong problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of information technology, including hardware, software and networking
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
· Ability to provide advanced technical assistance and comprehensive problem resolution to end users
· Ability to install and configure computer systems, hardware and peripherals
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community
· Understanding of Microsoft SQL server and familiarity with Crystal Reports.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance
· Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing technology
· Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions will meet business and system requirements
· Provide end-user services including help desk and technical support services.
· Responsible to monitoring and oversight of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports from Network vendors
· Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures including those for security, disaster recovery, purchasing and service provision
· Manage court servers, network hardware and equipment, as well as campus wide security solutions and telecommunications
· Provide troubleshooting support for escalated software and hardware problems. Coordinate vendor assistance when required.
· Install and maintain desktop computer hardware including PCs and thin clients, monitors, printers and other computer equipment.
· Provide technical assistance, support and troubleshooting in the resolution of system communications failures and conflicts.
· Review, prioritize and process problem reports and document the progress of projects.
· Responsible to monitor and implement IT policy and procedure changes for mandated reporting to Ohio Supreme Court and other governmental agencies.
· Implement and test database changes required by changes to Ohio Revised Code and/or Codified Ordinances for communities within the Court’s jurisdiction.
· Any other duties as required or requested by the Clerk of Court/Court Administrator
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
· Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 60 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than two (2) hours per day.
· Little or very limited exposure to physical risk.
· Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Must be flexible and be willing to work additional hours as needed.
· May at times be on-call or requested to work an evening, holiday or weekend shift.

· 60 day Probationary Period, paid vacation after 1 year

Bachelor's degree preferred
Prior experience in Public or Private Sector IT Support
