Description: Bedford High School, in partnership with The New England Center for Children (NECC), is seeking a dynamic candidate for an opening for a full-time intensive instruction paraprofessional position to work with children with intensive special needs, with an anticipated shift to a paraprofessional position. The ABA Tech position is 7.5 hrs/day and staff will receive on the job training by the New England Center for Children (NECC). Given movement and student need, the position may shift midyear to a Paraprofessional position of 6.5 hrs/day. More details will be provided upon interview.
Job Summary: Must be able to understand and assist with instruction and behavior management that is targeted to meet the specific needs of students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans. Provide direct educational services, ensure safety of all students, incorporate specific educational objectives into ongoing activities, collect data, maintain student specific materials and reinforcers. In addition to maintaining confidentiality, the candidate should possess strong communication skills, be willing to take direction from case managers/lead teachers, and should have the ability to understand and assist with instruction and behavior management that is targeted to meet the specific needs of students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans. Works under the direction of the Intensive Instruction Classroom, NECC Clinical Supervisor or Administrator. Please see the attached document for specific job descriptions and qualifications.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and previous special education experience preferred.
