Bedford Heights Daycare Center is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Summer Coordinator to lead our school-age summer program. This role is responsible for planning and implementing engaging on-site and off-site activities while safely supervising a group of at least 15 school-age children. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement a full summer activity schedule for school-age children.
- Lead and supervise a group of 15 school-age participants in a safe and structured environment.
- Organize on-site enrichment activities such as arts & crafts, STEM projects, sports, and team-building games.
- Coordinate off-site field trips, including logistics, permissions, and safety procedures.
- Maintain attendance records, activity plans, and incident reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with center policies, licensing regulations, and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with families and staff regarding schedules, activities, and student needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for all children.
Qualifications
- Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, camp, or educational setting.
- Strong leadership and group management skills.
- Ability to plan structured activities and manage transitions throughout the day.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and participate in active play.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating camps or summer programs.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate curriculum and enrichment activities.
- Valid driver’s license (if transporting children is required).
