Registered Dental Hygienist

As a dental hygienist on our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care across our specialties, including General Dentistry, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Multi-specialty services. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient education, preventive care, and the promotion of excellent oral hygiene practices.

We utilize advanced technology, including Eaglesoft, Intraoral Cameras, and iTero, to enhance our diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Your ability to adapt to and utilize these tools effectively will enhance patient experiences and outcomes. Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with chairside procedures, including taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and applying topical anesthetics.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office protocols.
• Ensure infection control standards are upheld through aseptic techniques and proper instrument sterilization.
• Support the dental team by assisting with various procedures and using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification.
• Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Experience working in general dentistry practices, with knowledge of pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding practices.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and medical records management.
